Types of plastic surgery for men
Dan offers several different plastic surgery options for male patients – take a look below and follow the links for further information.
Gynaecomastia or male breast removal
Overgrowth of male breast tissue affects up to 30% of men and can cause significant distress. The condition is thought to arise due to an imbalance between testosterone and oestrogen hormone levels in the male body, which can occur for many reasons – although for most patients a cause is never identified.
Treatment for male breast overgrowth typically involves liposuction alone or in combination with a direct excision of breast tissue, which is carried out through a small incision underneath the nipple.

One of the most common cosmetic procedures men request is liposuction which can be an excellent way to shift superficial fat deposits that remain despite diet and exercise.
Liposuction is carried out through small incisions usually disguised in the body's natural skin creases. Typical areas men request to be treated are the flanks or 'love handles', chest and abdomen. When considering liposuction, it must be remembered that liposuction is not an alternative to a weight loss programme.

As men age, the skin around the face and tissues immediately below the skin can sag, leading to a heavy and tired appearance, most often affecting the lower face.
A face lift aims to restore a youthful appearance, particularly when combined with a neck lift to strengthen the jaw line and remove any excess skin and tighten the muscles immediately under the skin.
Anaesthetic : General
Length of stay : Overnight
Length of surgery : 3-4 hours
Time off work: 1week
Return to light exercise : 4-6 weeks

Many men come for regular botulinum toxin or facial filler injections to mask signs of tiredness or age. At your consultation, Mr Marsh will carry out a detailed assessment of your face and discuss fully any suitable non surgical treatments. Typically botulinum toxin treatment lasts 3-4 months and Dan is careful that you maintain a natural look and do not appear 'frozen' after your treatment.
